Dear Parents and Caregivers
Due to roll increase in the Fledglings we have decided to change the structure of the classrooms.
The structure will be
The Nest: Elizabeth To'oto'o (Clever Kiwis)
Room 3: Anna Tollestrup (Daring Ducklings)
Room 4: Siobahn Campher (Awesome Owls)
Your child was given a letter today, letting you know their new teacher and room number.
If you have any concerns please feel free to come in and see Anna Tollestrup or Freda Vagana.
Regards
Anna, Elizabeth and Siobahn

on Friday we planted our new seeds for the garden. We thought about what food we would like to eat and decided to plant carrots and lettuces. First we each got a seed, then we got a put and put a bit of soil in the pot. Then we added a small amount of water to make it grow. We think we need to out it in the sun so it can grow strong.

The Brainy Birds did some fantastic reading today. We used our fingers to point to each word and looked at the pictures for clues to some words. We learnt the word 'The' and talked about different animals on the farm.

We had so much fun with the parachute today. Last week we tried it at the beach and we thought it would be great to get out again. There were many colours and we laughed when we ran under it.

Today we did some great writing about what we need to take to the beach. We all used our sounds to write the letters that we know.
We also got our book bags today. Please read with us every night. For some tips check out Mrs Tolly reading with us.

Last week we drew a self portrait. We decided to focus on each body part and develop our skills. We started with our eyes. We talked about different eyes and used mirrors to look at our own. Take a look. Don't forget to check out our instagram- http://instagram.com/year0rowandale/
This was our first try. Some of us drew dots for eyes. After looking hard we discovered that there is lots of detail to our eyes.
We have eye lashes
Our eyes are oval.
We have a eyebrow
We have a pupil in the middle of our eye
We had to take our time.
Use the mirror.

Hello Whanau
Welcome to our blog. Here we will post notices and pictures from our day at school.
Today we visited the chickens and then wrote a story about our visit. We had to chase the chicken for Mrs Tollestrup to catch it and it was funny. There were no eggs today, so we will head back tomorrow to check.
For maths today we looked at statistics, we each picked our favourite ice block and then put the colour we chose on the picture chart. It was really yummy.
